Tour M8 - Reel

Regular price $189.95 $0.00

Tour M8 is our most sophisticated string to date. After successfully releasing Alpha and Tour Sniper and receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback, we decided to utilize attributes from both of them and add an octagonal shape.

Tour M8 is now also one of our most durable strings, with exceptional tension maintenance, stability and control, while also relatively soft but also crisp for increased feel. In addition, we have given it a unique, non-standard olive green color. This string has it all.

With Tour M8, players do not have to sacrifice comfort to achieve stability and control. Also, players do not have to sacrifice tension maintenance to achieve comfort.

It has also been designed for Pro Tour use, with Daniel Gimeno Traver (Highest ATP 48 and currently instructing at his Academy) already using Tour M8.

Available in olive green color.

Shape: Octagonal (8-sided)

Diameters: 1.25 mm and 1.30 mm

Tension recommendations:

- Normal poly stringing tension.

Full 200m reel

Stringing Tips:

Given its soft edges and slippery nature, Tour M8 is very easy to string. Standard considerations are advised.

Great but wow, low powered

I wish I’d strung it lower than normal tension as the YouTubers suggested. I was needing to swing out so hard to get the power and access to spin that I was losing control. Feels like 4G/Lynx tour power wise which I also need to string lower to get the feel and spin I like. When I reduced to get the right tension for me, it became magical. Thanks grapplesnake.

Outstanding. Thank you!

Great poly string! Lots of spin and great feel! Have it strung in Wilson Clash 98 at 48 lbs and it plays soft and responsive. One of the best polys I've played with! Highly recommended!

A truly unique feeling among poly strings

At the recommendation of Tennisnerd on YouTube, I tried this out in my Pure Aero and Boom MP at low tension (43-45lbs)—absolutely love it in both & just bought a reel.

Feel: this string at this tension is unlike any other poly I've ever tried. The magic is how it seems to keep the ball on the string bed a little bit longer, giving you more control and understanding of where the ball is going before it leaves the bed.

Spin: the added dwell time & octagonal shape allows for some crazy spin on a 16x19 frame. Slices & cross-court dinkers are amazing, and I've had so many balls that I thought were long just drop at the baseline.

Power: definitely a low-powered string, but at low tension I'd say it's almost comparable to RPM Blast at normal tension.

Comfort: amazing! I've never tried it at normal tension, but in the 40s, it makes your racquet feel like a Wilson Clash.

Tension maintenance: better than most polys. There's a noticeable break-in period of about 2 hours, and then it stays at a pretty consistent tension for a while. I used to use RPM Blast, playing 3x/week, & after about a month I would restring. With these, I get an extra ~2 weeks.

Overall: for a 3.5+ player who hasn't found his/her perfect string setup, it's a must-try experience. You will likely either hate it, or fall absolutely in love. Best suited for players who use a lot of spin, have power, like to take full cuts at the ball, but don't want a crazy high tension string bed in order to get control.
