LIMITED EDITION AVAILABLE - TOUR MAKO SHORT FIN 1.25mm HEXAGONAL: A limited Cream edition of our popular Tour Mako, now with a 6-sided geometry. It builds on the original formula known for feel and response, adding extra bite while keeping the same mildly abrasive surface as Tour Mako Teal and Silver. The edges are moderate, similar to Alpha and Tour Sniper, for controlled grip and stability.

Tour Mako is our latest development for 2024/2025. Following the success of Tour M8 and the use of novel materials in Paradox Pro, we decided to combine their biggest individual strengths into one string. Mako is stable, consistent, durable and reliable, as Tour M8. And just like Paradox Pro, it utilizes new additives to increase playability and feel. These additives are new to the tennis string industry, and, unlike Paradox Pro, they are non-metallic. They aid in feel, durability and provide Tour Mako with a mildly abrasive surface. We believe in a consistent and predictable launch for this Tour level string, which is why we have chosen a round shape. At the same time, we provided the surface with mild abrasion, which allows for increased spin potential while retaining consistency.

Our goal is to always push the limits of the industry. And with Tour Mako, we are happy to introduce a string that is not comparable to any other, while at the same time being an evolution of two of our own.

Available in Teal and Silver colors.

Silver contains a small amount of aluminum in its composition for added firmness, tension maintenance, and precision, at the expense of some feel. Teal Mako is great for firmer racquets, and Silver is ideal for softer racquets.

Shape: Round with mildly abrasive surface

Diameter: 1.25 mm

Tension recommendations:

- 2 lb above your normal poly stringing tension.

Individual 12m Set

Stringing Tips:

Given its round shape, Tour Mako is very easy to string. Standard considerations are advised.

Testing the waters

I’ve been trying 3 different strings right now. Sniper, M8, and Mako. Sniper is an absolute top of the line string if you take big cuts at the ball. I’m a 4.5 that is more of a baseline grinder and don’t always take big swings. But, comfort, accuracy, spin, and its ability to absorb pace coming at you are exceptional! I could play with this string in tournaments.
M8 is in my opinion, the best utility string that I’ve probably played with. What I mean by “utility “, is it does everything right. Spin, softness, a little notch above on power, compared to Sniper. Directional control is on point. Redirecting shots seems effortless. The interesting thing about this string is it seems like it adapts to your swing speed. If you hit a soft touch shot, it can do that. If you want to take a full swing and go after it, it gives just the right amount of dampening to crisp ratio. String tension is looking far superior right now.
I don’t have enough time on Mako yet for an accurate opinion. But, it is the most powerful out of these three. It is a round string, so that makes sense. For a string tension reference, all these rackets are strung either 46/45 mains, and 44/43 crosses. M8 might be my new go to!

Jesse, thank you for your detailed review. Happy to see that you are enjoying our strings!

Excellent explosive power, tension holds, and feel

Strung on my pure drive plus at 52 lbs. Power, feel, touch, and hold tension pretty well. One of the best string I have ever used in 10 years of playing at 5.0 level.

Excellent! Thank you, Jonathan.

Favorite String

Tour Mako Silver is my favorite string of all time. I used to be a long time user of Alu Power and tried M8, Black Code, 4G, Hyper G, Revolve Spin but nothing beats Tour Mako. I also like the teal version a lot, I think the teal version gives a lil bit more free power.
Keep up the good work - you have won a long time user

Thank you so much! Tour Mako is an exceptionally comfortable and versatile string with great power. Very happy you like it.

Outstanding String

I have 3 hours of play on Mako and it is a remarkable string imo. Strung at 57# in my Blade V9 18x20 98 and from the start the strings were perfectly responsive and, at the same time, almost unobtrusive. I wasn’t aware of the strings - no harsh feedback. I sensed that the ball stayed on the strings but the shots felt crisp. Spin production (topspin and slice) is very good; serves (slice, flat, kick) are very good; touch and drop shots have great feel. These strings produce the shots I’m envisioning. A real treat! Thank you!

You hit the nail on the head with your assessment of Tour Mako! Very happy that you liked it. Thank you!
