Paradox Pro - 150m Reel

Regular price $179.95 $0.00

Paradox Pro is a new type of string. Same way aluminum changed the game when it was integrated into the composition of some co-poly strings years ago (we currently use it in Tour Sniper and Game Changer Silver), we have now developed Grapplesnake Paradox Pro, which uses other metals in higher percentages in a way that feels unique. This new generation string is also different and almost hard to fully classify it as a co-poly. There is no other string in the market that is made using the difficult technical processes we developed for Paradox Pro.

The name Paradox Pro comes from the paradigms this string is breaking and how counter-intuitive this seems, at first: Paradox Pro is solid and accurate with a vintage feel, but also very comfortable. It's also powerful, but with superb precision. It's durable but soft feeling. It's round but provides great spin due to its unique abrasive surface.

One major aspect of the string is the minimal time required for break-in, and its extended playability duration to the point of not "going dead", simply breaking while maintaining optimal playability until the very end. We believe these qualities will become the new benchmark.

The feel is the most direct we have ever developed, and that is its biggest strength. Black/White. Ying/Yang. A new type of precision, a new class of string. We expect Paradox Pro to change the game.

NOTE: Paradox Pro comes in 150 meter reels. Our other models come in 200 meter reels. We do not want people to pay above $200 as a price of entry for a reel, so we are shortening it 1/4 and keeping the prices sub $200 with a linear reduction in price.

Available in forest green color.

Shape: Round

Diameters: 1.26 mm and 1.29 mm

Tension recommendations:

- Normal poly stringing tension, or +1 lb.

150 m Reel

Stringing Tips:

- Paradox Pro is easy to string given its rounded shape. It has an abrasive surface, and it is recommended to use good technique and slide the crosses upwards with your fingers as you feed to avoid notching. Also, Paradox Pro does not like being crushed with the clamps, or developing twists from a turn. Crushing the string can debilitate it at the top or bottom of the hoop.

My new go-to!

I have strung up the 1.29mm in my V8 Blade 16x19 and my Vcore 98 2023 at 52lbs and I have a semi-western FH and 1HBH. First, I typically use Tour M8 1.3, TS 1.3, GC or some combo of them in my racquets. After ~5hours of hitting between both racquets, Im pretty confident the PPro will be my new go-to string. It complements the muted feel of these racquets extremely well, by providing a crisp feeling stringbed. It does have the same kind of crisp feel as TS or Alu power, but more solid/substantial. The best way I could describe it is like a slightly more muted and metallic natural gut. For comfort, I have never used a more comfortable performance-oriented string. Coming from someone who usually gets wrist soreness after a ~2-3hr hard hitting session with Tour M8, I dont think this string could make my wrist hurt if I served 200 balls in a row and hit every one off-center. Spin generation is a small step down from GC, but better than TS or Tour M8. It is definitely more powerful than the latter two and comparable to GC. Tension maintenance is the best of any poly string I have tried thus far. All in all, amazing all-around string and really no objective weaknesses. I dont see how it will limit any aspect of my game and the only thing that remains to be seen is how long it will maintain its playability. The only subjective aspects of the string that may not be for everyone is the feel and the color, but I am a fan of both.
